A glittering second movie in the Garage Sale Mystery Movie series by Hallmark
"Garage Sale Mystery: All That Glitters" is a great second offering in the new series of Garage Sale Mysteries by Hallmark Channel. Lori Loughlin plays Jennifer Shannon, an amateur sleuth/antique and collectibles shop co-owner (Rags to Riches) who keeps getting involved in murder cases that she helps solve with her eye for detail and her ability to decipher clues. At the time I am writing this review, there have been three movies made in this series, "Garage Sale Mystery", "All That Glitters" and "The Deadly Room". The last movie has played on Hallmark but has not yet been released on DVD. At the time I am writing this review, there is also another movie "The Wedding Dress" that will premiere on the channel sometime in August 2015.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

Happened upon the Garage Sale Mystery movies on an obscure TV channel and really love them. Lori Loughlin is perfect in the role of amateur sleuth and the storylines are feasible and well thought-out. Really a great show!

Series 7 -- an excellent addition to a perfect program
The boys are back! And, more human than ever.

Lewis is softer, as he "takes a break from retirement." Hathaway is complex as ever, with an obvious internal storm which we will never know. But in this series, unlike the others, they are now personal friends above all else. Can you imagine Hathaway saying "Robbie?" Well, he does. :)

This season, there is also a great crowd of wonderful women: Innocent is a bit softer too, and Laura is now a significant other, rather than an unspoken flirtation at work. She is really beautiful and warm. And, there is the new sergeant! I forget her name, (she is such a new character,) but she is Hathaway's second in command. Well portrayed and a pleasure to watch.

The cast of featured characters in the mysteries is stellar as always, and completely takes the audience into the rabbit hole. That, the writing, the music, the cinematography, and the overall sense of perfection of this series which has kept this...
Excellent addition to one of the best series on TV

Excellent addition to one of the best series on TV. The unraveling of the crime is compelling but what truly marks this series as special is the interaction of the key actors. New police personnel, revamped work relationships and even a small touch of domesticity add zest to the already deeply satisfying drama. This is one of my all time favorite shows and it is quite encouraging to start a new season with such a strong effort.

Compelling Viewing
Following what was most likely the last ever episode of Lewis, this is the DVD set we have all been waiting for. It contains all 27 episodes in the six seasons of Inspector Lewis including the original pilot. Do not be misled by the Amazon description which at the time of writing states a running time of 430 minutes - I presume it will be corrected in due course. In fact these 14 discs run to no less than 2,430 minutes, which is enough to keep us all absorbed for some time! Most importantly these are stated to be the full length UK edition - there has been much criticism of cuts made for the North American releases of some of the Lewis DVD sets in the past.

It is hard to believe that the pilot show was broadcast as recently as 2006, as it seems that Inspector Lewis has been part of our viewing lives for so much longer. I think this is to a large extent, because the character of Lewis first appeared in Morse as long ago as 1986 and has been played by Kevin Whately...

A Review of the Actual Product - It's A Fan's Dream Come True!
There have been so many people treating this section as a message board instead of reviews it's absurd. I have the set and have been watching it, so this is an actual REVIEW.

PACKAGING
The packaging is nicely done and good quality. However I prefer practical packaging and it takes a little effort to flip through and access the discs. There isn't a booklet listing all of the disc contents, which is a bit frustrating as you have to insert a disc to see which special features it contains. This is nitpicking because it looks very good and there is a neat little surprise after you flip through all of the discs.

HD UPGRADE QUALITY
All episodes of the TV show, including both versions of the pilot, have been meticulously scanned and remastered from the original negatives. People seem to forget that this show was finished in 1990 TV resolution. Thankfully it was shot on film and those film negatives could be used to create HD masters. It took considerable work...
AUDIO SYNCING PROBLEMS! Looking for an exchange...
I would be quick to give this set a 4 or 5 star review - the picture quality is beautiful, the extras are nice, and the packaging is superb. I jumped to pre-order this as soon as it was available.

Unfortunately, I am among the many people who are experiencing serious audio syncing problems. The "Missing Pieces" are wayyy out of whack, and many people are also reporting audio issues with some episodes and with Fire Walk With Me. People with all sorts of BluRay players are reporting major problems in these areas. For an item that is so expensive and is priced so because of its top-quality sound and images, this is completely unacceptable.

Many of us are trying to reach out to CBS Home Entertainment through social media, but we've yet to hear about an exchange where we'll be given working disks. I would imagine we will hear something about this, but if not, I'll be returning this for a full refund. That would be a bummer considering how much I was looking...

Terrific fun! Absolute blast!

Terrific fun! My family and I enjoyed this immensely. Terrific humor and inside jokes for fans of Scooby-Doo and KISS alike. Several classic KISS songs included and best of all, the new song is both a surprise and one of the greatest highlights. 4-1/2 stars

Scooby/KISS Rocks!!!
This film has everything that we love about a classic Scooby Doo mystery and seamlessly marries it with a totally rockin' KISS adventure! Right from the start we have design maverick, Robert Valley's eye popping opening credits which are playfully punctuated by title cards featuring graphics by Michael Doret, the original graphic designer of KISS's Rock and Roll Over. In fact, fans of the band will be blown away by how many homages there are to their unique and unparalleled brand of showmanship, design iconography and innovative self promotion.

Producer/Director, Tony Cervone has taken Demon, Starchild, Catman and Spaceman and made wonderfully compelling, bigger than life characters that fit surprisingly well in the world of Scooby Doo. That said, these are more than just hand drawn renditions of the real band members. The film gives them a rich and complex backstory that begs for either a sequel or even better, their own spin-off series.

Great to see the production team of Scooby Doo find a worthy project and really give it an A+ effort this time. Fans of both will find many in-jokes and other delights, the music will ROCK your world. Loved it...best Scooby movie yet. No doubt this will become a cult classic!!
